Since 2008, DJL Research has awarded scholarships to students at Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana who had the most improved grade point averages from their sophomore year to graduation. David J. Livingston is a graduate of Owen Valley High School. Overall since 2004 we have given over $22,000 in scholarships.  For 2017 the scholarship amount has been increased to $5,000 a year.

Brandon Stewart was awarded the 2017 Livingston Scholarship of $5,050.  He is going to Indiana State University and majoring in business.  I did the same thing!  Thanks to the person who donated the extra $50

Evelyn Coffin, a sophomore at Knox College, received the $1,000 first prize as winner of the 2015 ACM Nick Adams Short Story Contest.

2012 Livingston Scholarship winner

Katelyn Ooley was awarded the 2012 Livingston Scholarship of $1,750. Katelyn increased her GPA significantly over the past two years and achieved enough credits to graduate a semester early. She is attending IVY Community College in Bloomington, Indiana.

Kyla Tinsley was awarded a scholarship of $1,250. She will attend Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington in the fall of 2011. After completeing her general education there, she plans to transfer to either Indiana University or Indiana State University to study psychology and visual arts. Kyla hopes to become a child psychologist and incorporate art therapy into her work.

The 2008 Livingston Scholarshiip winners are Kirstin Evans and Shane Campbell. Kirstin received a $1000 scholarship and Shane won $500.

From 2004 through 2007 DJL Research sponsored a $500 scholarship at Pewaukee High School for the student with the most improved grade point average from their sophomore year to graduation.

2007 Livingston Scholarship winners announced

The 2007 $500 Livingston Scholarship winner is Nicole Christenson, pictured at left. She plans to study nursing at Waukesha County Technical College. A second $500 scholarship was awarded at David Livingston’s alma mater, Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana. The recipient, Louis Browning, plans to attend Hobart technical school in Ohio.

Jamie Stewart is the first Pewaukee High School graduate to receive a $500 Livingston Scholarship. Jamie was awarded the scholarship in May 2004. He now attends the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
